As an HCI researcher, my interest lies in enabling digital content creation and retrieval as a seamless part of everyday life, leveraging synergistic, multimodal interactions and workflows. To achieve this mission, my methodology involves human-centred design exploration and practical design implementation through an iterative process. This is complemented by robust evaluations of usability and user experience, with the aim of delivering practical solutions that substantially benefit the community I serve.
I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at the National University of Singapore, under the supervision of Prof. Shengdong Zhao. Prior to this, I earned my M.Sc. from Korea University, specializing in AR/VR interaction designs and technologies under Prof. Jerald Jeonghyeon Kim, and also obtained my B.Sc. from the same institution. My professional journey includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at LG Electronics, where I contributed to developing world’s first android and webOS smart TV. Additionally, I held a software engineer and manager position at COWON Systems, focusing on engineering hand-held android-based smart devices designed for multimedia playback.
