As an HCI researcher, my interest lies in seamlessly enabling digital content creation and retrieval as part of everyday life, by devising and leveraging synergistic, multimodal interactions and workflows. To achieve this mission, my approach combines human-centered design explorations with practical system implementations. To ensure realistic and impactful outcomes, this process is supported by an iterative design cycle that includes thorough evaluations of usability and user experience, all aimed at delivering meaningful solutions that can benefit the communities I serve.
I completed my Ph.D. in computer science with a specialization in human-computer interaction at National University of Singapore, under the supervision of Dr. Shengdong Zhao. Prior to this, I earned my MS.c. in computer science from Korea University, specialising in human-computer interaction under the supervision of Dr. Jerald Jeonghyeon Kim. I also obtained my B.Sc. from the same institution. Besides these academia records, my professional journey includes a role as a senior software engineer at LG Electronics, where I contributed to developing the world first android-based and webOS-based smart TV. Additionally, I held a software engineer and manager position at COWON Systems, focusing on engineering hand-held android-based smart devices designed for multimedia playback.
NOTICE: As of now, I am looking for new job opportunities that allow me to have exciting experiences. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help connect me to such opportunities!
